Speed up document redaction using AI-powered suggestions

Redaction Assistant saves deal advisors and analysts valuable time in deal preparation by using AI to proactively suggest document redactions. These suggestions can be implemented in the document in a few clicks, so they always stay in control.

Redaction Assistant is now available as a public preview for newly opened Workspaces on Virtual Vaults.

How does it work?

Step 1: AI will automatically suggest redactions for your document

Redaction Assistant proactively provides you with item suggestions like personal names, addresses and financial values for you to mark. Like an AI-powered PA, it neatly organizes these suggestions into categories to make the redaction process as convenient as possible.

These suggestions are divided up into categories like addresses, company names, financial information, job titles and personal names. You can mark information individually, per category or immediately mark all AI-generated suggestions for redaction in the document.

Step 2: Select which redactions you'd like to apply to your document

Once Redaction Assistant has identified the potential items to mark, you can select which ones you'd like to have redacted throughout the document. Redaction Assistant automatically provides you with an overview of which ones you have marked for redaction.

If you are not quite done selecting what items you'd like to have redacted, you can always save your redactions as a draft. This enables members of your team to add area or text redactions manually before it is finalized.

Step 3: One last check before you finalize document redactions

Once you have selected the items you want to have redacted in the document, you can apply your redactions. Before you finalize the redactions, you will get a preview of what the redaction will look like in your document.

Once applied, your team will be able to see the redacted version in your Workspace. Like any redaction, you can always edit and revert redactions or view the original document. This helps you stay in full control of the redaction process.

Redaction Assistant queries are processed with Microsoft's Azure OpenAI service. Your data is not stored in the AI model once executed and no client data is used for AI training or to improve other services. It’s only used to process your redaction request.
